My bar soap used to turn to mush in a week, but the angled channels on this dish drain water so fast that the bar stays firm and lasts way longer. The alder wood feels smooth and solid, and I actually like how the rustic look fits my bathroom.
The wood grain is honestly prettier in person than in the photos, and it feels solid without being heavy. Water beads up and slides right off the surface, so my soap isn't sitting in a puddle anymore.
The angled channels really do their job—my soap bar sits dry by morning instead of turning into a mushy puddle. It’s sturdy and handcrafted, so it feels like a solid upgrade over my old plastic tray.
